My Background
I didn't stumble into accounting — I pursued it.
For nearly a decade, I've been dedicated to studying and mastering every corner of this profession. Long before I had clients, I was deep in the books — studying accounting principles, personal finance, retirement strategies, tax planning, and financial coaching. That foundation didn't come from a single degree or certification. It came from years of deliberate study because I genuinely believe that financial knowledge is one of the most powerful tools a person can have.
My professional career has been spent almost entirely in public accounting, where I've had the privilege of working alongside small business owners at every stage of their journey. I've helped entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground the right way — with clean structure, solid books, and a financial foundation built to last. I've managed monthly bookkeeping for businesses across a wide range of industries, learning the unique rhythms and challenges each one brings. And I've taken on large-scale, multi-year clean-up projects — the kind most accountants won't touch — digging through years of disorganized records and bringing them back to a place of accuracy and clarity.
That range of experience matters. It means when you bring me a problem — whether it's a brand new business, a backlog of messy books, or a growing company that needs real financial leadership — I've seen it before, and I know how to handle it.

Why I Started Fortified Financial
While I’ve enjoyed the technical side of accounting, what excites me most is helping people at a deeper level — making decisions, setting strategies, educating, and creating clarity with financial data. Too often, I saw accounting reduced to just another monthly fee, with little communication or real value being delivered.
I wanted to change that. Fortified Financial was built on the belief that every client deserves more than reconciled books — they deserve a financial partner. Whether that means:

Who I Am
I was born and raised in Texas, and I love everything about the South — faith, family, and the outdoors. Integrity and relationships mean everything to me. At Fortified Financial, our principles are guided by Biblical Wisdom on stewardship and money management. We believe Scripture is the ultimate truth and we seek to honor God in our work, giving Him the glory for the opportunities we have.
